Medical Advisor – Plastic Surgery

  • Dr. Karen Wong completed her residency training at the University of Toronto, followed by fellowships at the Hospital for Sick Children and the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. 

  • Additionally, she holds a PhD in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University. 

  • Dr. Wong is a Surgeon-Scientist specializing in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, with a clinical focus on cleft surgery and microsurgery. 

  • She serves at the Hospital for Sick Children and is cross-appointed to the Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto. 

  • As the Quality Improvement Coordinator in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, she leads division-wide Morbidity and Mortality Rounds.
